TO KNOW MORE

RED SCREW
The red vine extract is produced through the processing of the sheet, harvested in autumn at the time of greatest redness, of the Vitis vinifera plant, of the Vitaceae family.

The resulting powder has a dark red colour, particular to the eye and with a characteristic smell. The main chemical characteristics that compose it and determine its cosmetic use are flavonoids (rutin, quercetin, isoquercetin, campferol) and anthocyanosides, capable of generating angioprotective activity that decreases the permeability of capillaries and increases the overall resistance of tissues. The antioxidant and protective properties at the level of cell membranes are also fundamental.

Vitis vinifera leaf extract is a preparation that is used in Vovees cosmetic products as a synergistic active ingredient in anti-ageing and firming formulations. Together with other active ingredients, such as Aloe Vera, it acts as protection for sensitive and easily reddened skin. It is effective in products with astringent and toning action. As an antioxidant it finds its natural use in our deep action creams and in anti age serums or fillers.

HISTORICAL NIGHTS
Originally from southern Europe and western Asia, the Red Vine plant has spread completely over the globe, except in areas with a harsher climate such as Antarctica. Starting from the Sumerians, Vitis Vinifera has been attributed beneficial properties for health, until it was called "the herb of life", protected by the mother goddess of vines as mentioned in the oldest known epic-heroic poem: The Epic of Gilgamesh.
